However, the film's success at the box office is far from a cause for celebration, as it is poised to become one of the biggest disasters in recent memory. In a recent development, the film has crossed the 350 crore mark at the worldwide box office.
Since the release of its first teaser, "Adipurush" has been plagued by negativity, and the criticism has only intensified post-release. This has had a significant impact on the film's box office performance. In fact, the film is set to conclude its theatrical run in the coming days, and it is anticipated that the final numbers will be quite shocking.
In terms of box office collections, "Adipurush" has amassed 260 crores nett (306.80 crores gross) at the Indian box office. However, the film has been a major disappointment in the overseas market, where it has earned only 51 crores gross. Combining these figures, the film's worldwide total stands at 357.80 crores gross after the opening week.
In the midst of these developments, "Adipurush" has also been embroiled in controversy due to certain dialogues being labeled as "tapori" (vulgar). However, as promised by the makers, the controversial lines in the film have been modified. The dialogue in question was delivered by Devdatta Nage, who portrayed the character of Bajrang (Hanuman), during the Lanka Dahan scene. The original lines were, "Kapda tere baap ka, tel tere baap ka, aag bhi tere baap ki, aur jalegi bhi tere baap ki." However, in the new prints of the film, these lines have been changed to "Lanka" instead of "baap."
